Dundalk Church of the Brethren

Our History

In 1938, a group of believers gathered in Dundalk to begin a Protestant church that followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, and in 1951 the cornerstone of the church building was laid.  These Brethren laid a foundation of Christian fellowship, ministry, and stewardship in an attempt to obey His Great Commission - to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.  They had emphasized both believing and belonging, spirituality and servitude, faith and faithful living.

The same emphasis remains today as we seek to follow His guidance by fulfilling not only spiritual needs, but physical and emotional needs as well - food, health, rest, comfort, friendship and unconditional acceptance.  As Christ loved the world, we extend our love and welcome to all people, regardless of race, background, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.
